如何寫論文摘要？

論文摘要就像是一篇文章的門面一樣，要寫得清楚、寫得吸引人其實不容易。其實各家的說法都大同小異，不過我最近在看 Steve Wallace (這本書的作者就是寫 How to write and submit an academic paper in 16 weeks 的) 這本 How to attend, speak or present a poster at an academic conference ，覺得非常精簡，摘下來分享給大家。

要寫摘要，其實就是回答下面幾個問題：

• What did you investigate?
• Why?
• What did you do?
• What did you find out?
• What do your results mean?
• So what?

接著，依照下列的格式組織一下：

• Motivation
• Problem statement
• Approach
• Results
• Conclusions
• References (通常極少數的情況會需要)

雖然這些說法與 Steve Wallace 上一本大作 How to attend, speak or present a poster at an academic conference 說的一致，但我喜歡這個簡潔的說法，故節錄下來以便日後參考。
至於這本介紹研討會的書 How to attend, speak or present a poster at an academic conference，我還沒讀完，所以還沒辦法寫完整的推薦。待我讀完之後，再跟大家分享。
